How big is the group and who leads it?
Small-group travel (typically up to 12 guests) led by a professional tour leader (Chief Experience Officer) who handles logistics, safety briefings, and daily options.
Can I travel in either direction?
Yes—departures operate Vancouver → Calgary and Calgary → Vancouver. Daily highlights and inclusions mirror each other in reverse.
What’s the daily pace like?
Purposeful but unhurried: scenic drives with frequent photo stops, short nature walks, and time in towns for cafés, galleries, or optional activities.
What optional activities are available—and how do they work?
Common options include Whistler gondolas/zipline/bike hire, Jasper SkyTram, canoeing/rafting, and Banff gondola/hot springs. They’re own expense and weather/season dependent; your guide will help with timings and sign-ups.
How much luggage can I bring?
Pack light and soft: one main bag/duffel plus a daypack for water, snacks, and layers. Shared vehicle space makes hard cases less ideal.
Will I have phone signal or Wi-Fi?
Solid in/near towns; patchy to none along the Icefields Parkway and some park areas. Plan for some offline moments between hubs.
Is travel insurance required—and do I need a visa/eTA?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Entry to Canada may require an eTA/visa depending on your passport—check requirements before booking flights.
Can the itinerary change?
Yes—weather, roadworks, and park advisories can prompt adjustments. Any changes keep the trip’s spirit intact while prioritising safety and experience quality.
What’s not included that I should budget for?
Flights, airport transfers, dinners and any meals not listed, optional extras, personal drinks (alcohol is BYO), personal gear, laundry, souvenirs, and tips (at your discretion).
