Instead, we partner with trusted, high-quality tour providers around the world. We have direct agreements with each provider and only list tours that meet our quality and sustainability standards.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Our Shopify-powered checkout is encrypted and PCI compliant. If you’re redirected to a provider’s site, we only work with those who use trusted, secure payment systems. We will never ask you for payment outside of these.

Do you charge more than the tour operator?

  • Land and Sea Transport: Emissions from buses, trains, and boats are calculated using average emission factors per kilometer, adjusted for vehicle type and occupancy rates.

2. Accommodations:

  • We assess the energy consumption associated with accommodations, considering factors like energy sources, efficiency, and occupancy.

3. Activities:

  • Emissions from activities such as safaris, diving, or trekking are estimated based on typical energy use and equipment involved.

4. Methodology:

  • Our calculations are grounded in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064 standards, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of greenhouse gas emissions.

5. Transparency and Verification:

  • We maintain transparency by documenting our methodologies and assumptions, allowing for third-party verification and continuous improvement.

If you want to make your tour Zero Trace, most tours can be booked directly through our website using the shopping cart and checkout. For a few providers, we link to their platform, but either way, we’re here to support you before and after you book through us. 

How do I know the tours listed are legitimate?

Great question. Every tour listed on our site comes from a vetted provider we’ve personally reviewed. You’re always welcome to contact the tour operator directly to confirm our partnership or their legitimacy.

Is my tour confirmed immediately after booking?

Not instantly—we need to confirm with the operator first.
After you book, we quickly reach out to the tour provider to confirm availability. Please wait upto 48 hours. If your spot can't be secured, we’ll do an immediate full refund.
