How rough are the seas—will I get seasick?
Crossings (Denmark/Davis Strait) can be lively. If you’re prone to motion sickness, start remedies before we sail and choose a mid-ship, lower deck cabin when possible.
What’s included in the fare?
15 nights aboard, all meals (15B/14L/15D), Zodiac excursions, lectures, the parka & boot loan, and arrival transfer (Reykjavík) plus departure/airport transfer (St John’s, same-day flights). See “What’s Included/Not” for the full breakdown.
What are typical temperatures?
Cool to cold: generally 0–12 °C depending on location and month, with wind chill on deck and in Zodiacs. Dress for conditions to feel 5–10 °C colder than the forecast.
Is there Wi-Fi or phone coverage?
Limited and intermittent—expect to disconnect, especially between Greenland and Labrador. Any onboard internet, if available, is usually slow and usage-limited.
What’s the dress code on board?
Casual and functional. Layers for deck time; comfortable clothing and soft shoes inside. No formal wear required.
Are children allowed?
Yes, Age 10+ (with adult). Guests should meet the mobility requirements for Zodiac operations.
Do I need travel insurance or visas?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Visa/entry requirements depend on your passport—check for Iceland and Canada well before departure.
What about gratuities?
Gratuities for ship crew and expedition staff are not included and are at your discretion (guidance provided onboard near the end of the voyage).
Can dietary needs be accommodated?
Common requirements can usually be met with advance notice. Please advise at booking.
How big is the group?
The ship carries roughly 130–140 guests with a close expedition feel (briefings, small Zodiac groups, and plenty of deck space).
